SportLoMo expands AWS hosting options to support data residency by region

    [4th March 2026] |

Sport organisations are increasingly conscious of where member and operational data is stored. Data residency expectations now form part of many procurement processes, particularly for governing bodies and multi-tier organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions.

SportLoMo has supported data residency requirements for several years, including the establishment of an AWS Canada hosting environment to meet Canadian expectations and to provide strong resiliency and availability for North American customers.

In Europe, we host in Ireland and Germany at present.

    Hosting aligned to client requirements

Today, because SportLoMo is built on AWS infrastructure, we can align hosting to the preferences and requirements of new clients in many regions. Where a customer requires data to be hosted in a specific jurisdiction—such as the USA, the Nordics, or the UAE—we can facilitate this through the appropriate AWS region, subject to agreed scope and compliance requirements.

    Why this matters

For many organisations, data residency is about more than compliance—it supports:

    • internal governance and risk management
    • assurance for members and stakeholders
    • alignment with national policies and procurement requirements
    • clear clarity on where data is processed and stored

SportLoMo’s approach provides operational flexibility without compromising reliability, security or platform maturity. If you have specific hosting or residency requirements, we can confirm options during discovery and align the deployment to your jurisdiction and organisational needs.
