SportLoMo was selected by Ireland Rugby (IRFU) following a competitive tender process to deliver RugbyConnect—a new member registration platform with integrated competition management and event modules for domestic rugby in Ireland. All domestic rugby in Ireland will be managed on the SportLoMo platform.

RugbyConnect brings key tools together in one connected system to support the IRFU’s long-term IT strategy. SportLoMo has provided electronic team sheets to IRFU domestic clubs for more than 10 years, and this contract extends that capability to a full end-to-end solution for the domestic game.
What RugbyConnect supports
- Online member registration for all IRFU members
- Club communications with members through the platform
- Electronic competition management, including match official assignment
- Electronic team sheets for every game
- Improved participation insight through consistent, centralised data
Return-to-play and training attendance
At the request of the IRFU, additional functionality was included to support return-to-play processes. Clubs can track training attendance, organise players into groups, and maintain an auditable record of participation where required. Players can also confirm attendance and complete relevant questionnaires to support organised return-to-play planning.
Clubs, events and live results
Clubs also have access to SportLoMo’s events management and a club website portal that can display results in real time as match officials submit scores through the SportLoMo Game Management App.
SportLoMo CEO Seamus Kyne said:
“While we support sports organisations internationally, it’s always meaningful to win a competitive tender at home—especially with an organisation of Ireland Rugbys stature. The IRFU is recognised globally as a world-class rugby organisation, and we’re proud to support the domestic game in Ireland.”
