SportLoMo was delighted to once again support Rugby Europe at the 2026 Rugby Europe Sevens Championship Series, held in Hamburg, Germany, from 3–5 July 2026.

Following our successful involvement at Rugby Europe tournaments in previous years, we were pleased to return to one of Europe’s premier rugby sevens events, this time supporting the competition with the latest version of the SportLoMo Live Scoring and Tournament Management platform.
Representing SportLoMo on-site was Calum Kyne, who worked alongside the Rugby Europe operations team throughout the three-day tournament, providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of the competition systems.
Live Scoring in Action
The 2026 Championships provided the perfect stage to showcase SportLoMo’s new Live Scoring module.
Throughout the tournament, every try, conversion, penalty and score was recorded live through the SportLoMo platform, while player statistics were captured in real time. This information was instantly available to tournament officials and fed directly into the competition management system.
At the same time, SportLoMo’s Competition & Tournament Management module handled fixtures, results and competition brackets, ensuring the event progressed efficiently from the opening pool matches through to the Championship Finals.
One of the key advantages of the integrated platform was the automatic progression of the competition. As each match result was confirmed through the Live Scoring system, league tables were updated instantly, knockout fixtures were generated automatically, and the next rounds became immediately available to officials and teams.
For tournament organisers, this removed manual administration and allowed them to focus on delivering an outstanding rugby event.

Another Successful Rugby Europe Partnership
This year’s tournament once again highlighted the strength of the partnership between Rugby Europe and SportLoMo. Our support didn’t stop in Hamburg—earlier in July, Williams Ganley was on-site in Andorra supporting Rugby Europe, and Joe McDonnell will shortly travel to Split, Croatia, for a third international tournament this summer. It’s been a busy few weeks for the SportLoMo team, reflecting Rugby Europe’s continued confidence in both our people and our technology.
It was also fantastic to see the SportLoMo platform continue to evolve, with our new Live Scoring module being used successfully alongside our Tournament Management system across Rugby Europe’s flagship competitions. The Live Scoring module is available, free of charge, for sports on our platform.
A huge thank you to Rugby Europe for their continued partnership and to Calum Kyne for representing SportLoMo in Hamburg.
We look forward to supporting many more Rugby Europe events in the future.
