The SFAI New Balance Kennedy Cup is one of Ireland’s most prestigious youth football tournaments, showcasing elite U-14 players from across the country. In 2018, DDSL (Dublin) defeated KDUL (Kildare) to claim their 32nd Kennedy Cup title—with the tournament supported by SportLoMo technology.

A national tournament, delivered at scale
Held annually at the University of Limerick, the Kennedy Cup brings together squads from all 32 SFAI-affiliated leagues. Each league enters a squad of 20 players, with competition running across a full week and additional fixtures to ensure meaningful participation for teams that do not progress to the later stages.
The 2018 tournament ran from Monday 11th June to Friday 15th June, requiring reliable scheduling, timely results updates and accurate competition administration across multiple fixtures and venues.

Kennedy Cup digital delivery
SportLoMo supported the tournament’s digital operations, helping organisers and administrators manage key competition workflows, including:
- Competition and fixture management
- Team and squad administration
- Match results capture and publication
- Live competition information delivered through the event website
- Centralised reporting to support oversight across the tournament week
This approach helped ensure consistent information for teams, administrators and followers throughout the tournament.
