Pitch Scheduling Just Got a Lot Easier

A smarter way to manage multiple pitches, courts, facilities and busy club schedules

SportLoMo’s new Pitch & Resource Allocator Version 1.0 is now released and available to club administrators.  There is no additional charge for using this new module if your club is already on the platform.

Pitch Scheduling Just Got a Lot Easier. A smarter way to manage multiple pitches, courts, facilities and busy club schedules

Built for busy club administrators and competition coordinators, the new module gives clubs a more connected way to manage fixture schedules, training sessions and shared facilities. It brings resources together in one system, helping reduce manual work and improve visibility for coaches and teams.

Scheduling is a challenge we see across larger clubs we work with, across different sports, countries and regions. In Ireland, we expect the Pitch Allocator to be particularly useful for larger IRFU rugby clubs and Dublin & District Schoolboys/Girls League soccer clubs, where busy weekly schedules can place real pressure on administrators and volunteers.

For larger clubs managing multiple teams across different age groups, weekly scheduling can be a major task. A club may have 30 home matches to allocate in a single week across 60-plus teams, alongside training sessions, mini-game layouts, pitch availability and other bookable club spaces.

The Pitch Allocator is designed to make complex club scheduling easier. From one central place, administrators can allocate fixtures, manage training slots, subdivide pitches for minis and junior games, schedule courts and share resources such as dressing rooms.

A key benefit of the new Allocator is that it connects directly with the SportLoMo competition management system. Club administrators can work from the latest list of official fixtures and schedules already in the system, making it easier to allocate resources, teams and matches in real time.

Using SportLoMo’s popular “hopper” system, administrators can then move fixtures and teams onto available pitches in a more visual and practical way, including drag-and-drop allocation across club resources.

For clubs still managing this manually, the time saving could be huge. One competition coordinator at a large Dublin club told us he spends around eight hours every week allocating games, training sessions and matches.  He is looking forward to getting started with the new Allocator and expects it could be a real game-changer for him.

Another useful feature is the ability to generate PDF outputs of pitch bookings and schedules. Once allocations are complete, administrators can quickly create a clear schedule that can be shared with coaches and team managers.

The next stage of the module, Version 2.0, is already in development.  It will support coaches, members and the wider public in selecting available pitches, astroturfs or court time slots, with the ability to book and pay online.

Version 1.0 is focused on the club administration side of the process and is now available at no charge to clubs using the SportLoMo system. To get started, simply contact your SportLoMo Account Manager.

The Pitch Allocator module is another step in the ongoing work to make SportLoMo better for our clubs, leagues and governing bodies. A big thanks to our team for continuing to listen to customer feedback, move quickly, and build practical features that help future-proof the platform.
