SportLoMo CEO Seamus Kyne was among the speakers at the Digital Innovation for Sport 2026 conference, held at ATU Galway City on 7 May 2026.

The event, themed “The Intelligent Sport Ecosystem”, brought together leaders from sport, technology and research to explore how data, artificial intelligence and digital systems are reshaping sports operations, performance, participation and engagement.
Seamus presented as part of the Sports Innovation in Action: Data2Sustain session, which showcased practical case studies from organisations working at the intersection of sport and digital transformation.

His presentation focused on SportLoMo’s work to make sports administration smarter, faster and more connected — including how AI can support more efficient client onboarding, improve access to platform data, and help sports organisations make better use of the information already flowing through their systems.
For SportLoMo, this reflects a clear direction: using AI and better data pipelines not as standalone technology, but as practical tools to reduce administrative workload, improve decision-making, and support governing bodies, federations, associations, universities, leagues, tournaments and clubs.
The conference explored the role of intelligent systems across the full sports ecosystem, from elite performance to grassroots participation. Speakers included Gavin Noble, Team Ireland Performance and Marketing Director, Gymnastics and Triathlon Ireland, and government agencies such as Skillnet Innovation Exchange, Sport Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.
It was a really enjoyable day, and SportLoMo would like to thank ATU Galway, Data2Sustain, and everyone involved in bringing together such a useful conversation on the future of sports technology in Ireland and internationally.
