The Mayo GAA communications team, led by County PRO John Walker, has been honored with the Best Digital Impact Award at the GAA MacNamee Awards. This accolade recognises their impressive digital strategy that has propelled Mayo GAA to have one of the largest county media footprints in Ireland. Mayo GAA efforts have resulted in a 60% surge in online traffic, driven by innovative content sharing and the transformation of its platforms.

SportLoMo extends congratulations to John Walker and his communications team for this achievement. We also want to commend our own web team for their work in developing the Mayo GAA website and Mayo GAA app. Special thanks go to Alex Andrews for ongoing maintenance of the website and Mairead Ruane for her management of the website redesign project.
Mayo GAA’s digital presence includes platforms such as Mayo GAA Instagram, the Mayo GAA website, X, Facebook, Mayo Tv, and the Mayo GAA app.
Both the website and app are powered by the SportLoMo platform, providing news and real-time data on fixtures, scores and competition details.
Over the years, SportLoMo have been instrumental in helping various GAA counties secure MacNamee Awards, we have a dedicated web development team that has developed over 300 websites. Sports that use our competition management system with the website automatically receive a live feed of scores, fixtures, schedules and tables from the platform, at no extra charge.

The GAA National Communication and Media Awards are named after the late Pádraig MacNamee, former President of the GAA, Chairman of the GAA Commission (1969-1971) and member of the RTÉ authority. The GAA MacNamee Awards recognise excellence in the area of GAA communications and winners for outstanding media coverage of the GAA season at local and national level.
